Convolution Effect allows the use of 3×3 and 5×5 convolution kernels to modify the image. An extensive set of presets are provided to get you started.
You can download the Win or Mac trial version. The watermark will be removed once you pay and enter the activation code. The trial is full-featured except for the watermark.
This effect works with 8-bpc, 16-bpc, and 32-bpc color. The optimal usage will require 32-bpc and full resolution. In 32-bpc color, After Effects does not clip the video and allows the user to view any out-of-range data.
Convolution Effect Controls :-
5×5 – Selecting this allows use of 5×5 kernels. Otherwise 3×3 kernels are used.
Presets – Different kernel presets depending on whether 3×3 or 5×5 is chosen.
Matrix – Clicking on Show displays the matrix window.
Bias – This will shift the bitmap by the appropriate amount.
Divisor – If the sum of all elements of the matrix is not 1, use this to adjust for the gain or loss in the image.
Elements – Access all the matrix elements for keyframing.
